instagram and you'll see at a glance that almost everything I own is black. In my younger years I thought that wearing so much of one color, or black in general, was the lazy and easy way to get away with fashion. The older I get the more I fall in love with black, and yes, a lot of the times I choose it because it is easygoing and can be combined with almost anything. The secret to wearing so much of one color is TEXTURE and LAYERING, that will keep it from looking boring or even worse, LAZY. Take inspiration from some of the most fashionable girls around. When in doubt, just MONOCHROME it!
Living in Los Angeles has truly been a blessing, there's always something going on this city! Unfortunately, the fast paced stuck in traffic for 2 hours a day lifestyle can be grueling. I have little by little been discovering places I can go to get away and without a doubt Palm Springs and Joshua Tree are my favorites. If you want to get away for a day here are some of my favorite must sees.
1. Cabazon Dinosaurs
2. Ace Hotel Palm Springs
Instagram is a wonderful community of people. On a recent trip to a nearby winery, a fellow instagrammer mentioned that Vasquez Rocks Natural Park was nearby, and since I was feeling adventurous we went and looked for it. It so happened it was only 10 minutes away from the winery. We were so thrilled at these wonderful formation of rocks that I even had the courage to rock climb in heels (I should always have a back up in the car) I can't believe this spot is only an hour away from the hustle and bustle of LA, can't wait to go back with the appropriate footwear!
